MPU Specific Issues

005_03: With the Renesas Electronics RL78 MPU, I cannot measure C1 coverage for an if statement. How do I fix it?

Question:

I have set sufficient test data to cover both branches of an if statement, but C1 coverage is not 100%. I am using the Renesas Electronics RL78 MPU. How do I fix it?

Answer:

This is because the compiler generates code to process branches using "skip" instructions when compiling branch code such as if statements.

See the linked FAQ page below for additional details and how to fix.

I set sufficient test data to cover all branches in my function, but C1 coverage is not 100%. Why?
