Question:
When testing a function with a structure argument, a WinAMS pointer allocation has not been set error appears. The structure has no pointer members variables. Why does this error occur?
Answer:
When a structure is used as a target function's argument or return value, CoverageMaster requires storage memory to save the structure. Therefore, you need to allocate a memory area in the "Test Settings" screen, "Pointer Area Allocation Settings".
Note that depending on the MPU/compiler, it may not be supported to test a function that has a structure argument or return value. Consult the MPU Restrictions PDF manual.
