102_05: Test result CSV reports "OK" even when expected values were not entered.

Question:

In the input data CSV file I only set the test data of the input variables and left the data (expected values) of the output variables blank. After executing the test the test result is displayed as "OK". Why is this?

Answer:

Test results for test data items without expected values entered are normally output as "NO Check".

However, for the final result of the entire CSV file you can check the "Treat 'NO Check' as 'OK'" in the "Test Settings" screen, "Other Settings" section.

When "Treat 'NO Check' as 'OK'" is checked, the final result of the test will be "OK" even when expected values were not entered. If even one of the test results is "NG", the final result will be "NG". This option does not set expected values for the test data, but assumes that only entered data will be evaluated.

When "Treat 'NO Check' as 'OK'" is unchecked, the final result of the test will be "NO Check" when expected values were not entered for all test data. If even one of the test results is "NG", the final result will be "NG".

Additional information
There is a "Make test result "No Check" if all expected values were not entered" setting in the "Test Settings" screen, "Other Settings" section, click the "Advanced..." button. With this setting it is possible to control whether or not to handle results as "NO Check" when expected values are not set for all output variables when there are two or more output variables for one line of test data.
