Question:
I am developing using the IAR compiler. Please tell me the points of caution when testing with CoverageMaster.
Answer:
CasePlayer2:
"Preprocessor" settings are required for advanced mode analysis with CasePlayer2, but if you are using the IAR compiler, you can efficient perform these settings by using the "Import predefined macros" feature of the compiler. For details, see the FAQ below.
Also, when analyzing with CasePlayer2, the error "CasePlayer2-E-SYN : name (xxx) is not declared." may appear.
In this case, see the FAQ below.
WinAMS:
When you test with WinAMS using the object file built with the IAR compiler, the OMF conversion may fail with the error "The input file could not be opened". This is because the new version of the IAR compiler generates DWARF Ver. 4 debug information by default (the WinAMS OMF converter only supports DWARF Ver. 2/3). See the following FAQ for a workaround.
If you start WinAMS using an object file built with the IAR compiler, functions implemented in different source files may be displayed in the "Function list" as corresponding to the same source file. In this case, use the workaround provided in the following FAQ.
